Mikado Floor Lamp — Unique piece

There is something of a suspended balance in Mikado - that gentle tension between fall and grace. Rods of raw, black, matte steel shoot out in all directions like randomly thrown sticks in a game, yet nothing is left to chance. Each rod is thoughtfully placed, each angle deliberate.

At the heart of this light architecture, a perforated metal lampshade, tinted with amber gold, diffuses a warm, pointillist light - a constellation of luminous dots that projects onto the walls and transforms the space into a work of art in its own right.

Inspired by 1950s minimalist design and handcrafted from raw steel, Mikado is a sculpture inhabited by light.
